Thankful for God’s Attention!
Scripture reading for May 16th: Job 3-7
Key Scriptures: Job 7:19-20 “Will You never look away from me, or let me alone even for an instant? If I have sinned, what have I done to You, O Watcher of men? Why have you made me Your target? Have I become a burden to You? Why do You not pardon my offenses and forgive my sins? For I will soon lie down in the dust; You will search for me, but I will be no more.”
God had allowed Satan to afflict His servant Job with physical loss and emotional attacks. Job knew that God was watching over him, even in his troubles. He knew that he needed God’s care and mercy to pardon his sins. He also recognized that death was near.
Thankful for God’s attention: Our God sees and knows everyone and everything living has His attention. “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13)
