Thankful for Christ’s mind!
Scripture reading for May 25th: Job 35-38
Key Scriptures: Job 36:22-26 “God is exalted in His power. Who is a teacher like Him? Who has prescribed His ways for Him, or said to Him, ‘You have done wrong’? Remember to extol His work, which men have praised in song. All mankind has seen it; men gaze on it from afar. How great is God–beyond our understanding! The number of His years is past finding out.”
Elihu, a younger counselor and friend of Job, tried to encourage Job by telling him about God’s amazing knowledge and understanding. God’s great wisdom and abilities are so wonderful that they are beyond our natural understanding. God’s work has inspired worship songs throughout the generations. We may not understand all of God’s ways, but we can worship!
Thankful for Christ’s mind: The New Testament reveals that now through Christ Jesus, believers have revelation enabling them to understand God’s works! “The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.” (1st Corinthians 2:15-16)
