Thanksgiving and prayer!
Scripture reading for July 26th: Psalm 48-50, 1st Corinthians 16
Key Scriptures: Psalm 50:14-15, 23 “Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving and perform your vows to the Most High, and call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” . . .”The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies Me; to one who orders his way rightly, I will show the salvation of God!”
Thanksgiving to God brings God glory. Sometimes it is a sacrifice to offer thanksgiving in the midst of troubling times or circumstances. It is an act of faith to give thanks. It is also an act of faith to call upon the Lord in the trouble and trust Him for deliverance. He also says that this glorifies Him and He will deliver us! Amen!
1st Corinthians 16:13-14, 23 “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” . . . .”The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.”
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your precious Word and promises. Thank You for being faithful to answer prayers. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and faith to live as a strong man, glorifying You. Amen.
