God’s righteous acts revealed!

Scripture reading for December 19th:  Micah 4-6, Revelation 15

Key Scriptures:  Revelation 15:3-4 “And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and amazing are Your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty!  Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations!  Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your Name?  For You alone are holy.  All nations will come and worship You,  for Your righteous acts have been revealed.”

John sees a group of martyrs who are now in heaven.  These have overcome the beast and they have harps ready to worship.  Their song is part of the ancient song of Moses, sung by Israel after their great deliverance from the pursuing Egyptian army, as God drowned them all in the sea.  God’s marvelous deeds and amazing justice should cause all to worship Him.

Micah 6:7-8  “Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil?  Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”  He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice; and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”

Prayer:  Lord,  thank You for Your righteous acts throughout history and Your Word.  You alone are worthy of worship now and for eternity.  May I walk humbly with You daily.  Amen.
