The Holy Spirit and full obedience!

Scriptures for February 12th:  Exodus 28-31, Philippians 2

Key Scriptures:  Exodus 31:1-6  “The Lord said to Moses, “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft.  And behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.  And I have given to all able men ability, that they may make all that I have commanded you.”

God gave the exact plans for His dwelling place and its furnishings.  Then He filled chosen workmen with His Spirit, enabling them to do the skilled work necessary to follow His detailed design and use the valuable offerings given willingly.  This was all for expected obedience, that God’s people might enjoy God’s presence.

Faith Confession and Prayer:  I thank God for His gift of the Holy Spirit to dwell in me, producing ability and skill to live a holy and separated life.  Forgive me for grumbling and help me Lord to allow the Holy Spirit to empower me today.

Philippians 2:12-15  “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work His good pleasure.  Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, . . “
