2022 Bible Trek–through the Bible!
Theme for 2022: Experiencing the Abundant Life!
Key Scriptures: John 4:23 “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Dear Friends and Lovers of God’s Holy Word,
On this second day of the new year, a Sunday, I hope you are all enjoying worship, prayer, and God’s Word by joining in a local church gathering of the Body of Christ. We are going to thrive in this new year by building strong relationships, first with God and then with His people. Church attendance is not just for us–it is first of all for the worship of God as He prescribed for His people. It is then for the others in the Body for whom your presence adds a fuller revelation of Jesus Christ as you worship corporately and share encouragement, spiritual gifts and God’s Word. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Jesus prayed that all believers would be in perfect unity (John 17:23) so that the world would know that Jesus was sent by the Father. To accurately reflect the love and unity of the Holy Trinity that the Father’s gift of the Holy Spirit brings to us, we lovingly gather and worship. This adds to our peace, pleasure and purpose.
As we begin our journey through the Bible tomorrow, I have chosen to post Old and New Testament passages each day on a five-day a week reading schedule. These reading are taken from the Lower Lights Publications printable five-day Bible reading schedule found at www.FiveDayBibleReading.com. You’re invited to read along with me on this year’s Bible Trek and I will write a daily devotional taken from verses in the daily reading. My theme is “Experiencing the Abundant Life” by experiencing God’s presence each day. I will also publish a weekly video blog taken from the reading. Let’s thrive, not just survive!
In His Love, Pastor John Morse–www.BibleTrekToday.com
