Speaking truth in love!

Key Scriptures: Luke 20:21-26 “So they asked Him, “Teacher, we know that You speak and teach rightly, and show no partiality, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or not?” But He perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Show Me a denarius. Whose likeness and inscription does it have?” They said, “Caesar’s.” He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were not able in the presence of the people to catch Him in what He said, but marveling at His answer they became silent.”
Jesus was wise to the plots of the Pharisees to try and trap Him into saying something they could use to accuse Him before Rome. He answered their question concerning taxes in a simple but brilliant way, speaking truth to their trap. This caused them to be silent.
Faith Confession: Lord, thank You for giving me the Holy Spirit to know how to answer each person that may confront me or try and trap me. Open my eyes and ears again today and give me Your wisdom to answer wisely.
Psalm 64:1-4 “Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy. Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the throng of evildoers, who whet their tongues like swords, who aim bitter words like arrows, shooting from ambush at the blameless, shooting at him suddenly and without fear.”
