Tag: Ezekiel 24:14
Scripture reading for November 21st : Ezekiel 24-26, 1 John 3
Key Scriptures: 1st John 3:7-9 “Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as He is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.”
The false teachers attacking the church in John’s last years were teaching that sin did not matter. John set the record straight. Sin is of the devil, who sinned from the beginning. Jesus Christ appeared to destroy the devil’s work of sinning and giving new life to all who would believe through the Word of God abiding within us and the Holy Spirit teaching us. No true believer can continue in sin. Don’t be deceived!
Ezekiel 24:14 “I am the Lord. I have spoken; it shall come to pass; I will do it. I will not go back; I will not spare; I will not relent; according to your ways and your deeds you will be judged, declares the Lord God.”
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your precious Word and plain truth. Thank You for the Holy Spirit who teaches me to obey. Lead me today into application of truth. Amen.
