Promises of health and protection!
Scripture reading for February 10th: Exodus 22-24, Psalm 109, Ephesians 6
Key Scriptures: Exodus 23:25-27 “You shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you. None shall miscarry or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days. I will send My terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs towards you.”
Our merciful God promised His people healing and divine health under the old covenant at Mt. Sinai. He would bless them with fruitfulness and long life as well as defeating all their enemies. Their responsibility was simply to serve the Lord and worship Him alone. Under the New Covenant with Jesus Christ, we stand in Christ Jesus against all the tricks of the enemy, knowing he is a defeated foe! Amen!
Faith Confession and Prayer: Lord Jesus, I trust You for my health, healing, and fruitfulness and defeat of my foes. Help me to stand in the armor You have provided.
Ephesians 6:10-12 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Psalm 109:31 “For He stands at the right hand of the needy one; to save him from those who would condemn his soul to death.”
The garden of the heart!
Scripture reading for February 13th: Leviticus 20-23, Mark 4
Key Scriptures: Mark 4:14-20 “”The sower sows the Word. And these are the ones along the path, where the Word is sown: when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the Word that is sown in them. And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the Word, immediately receive it with joy. And they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while, . . .And others are the ones sown among the thorns. They are those who hear the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches. . . choke the Word. . .But those sown on good soil . . . .hear and bear fruit. . .””
Jesus explained the parable of the sower to His disciples, explaining that it was a key to understanding all parables. The Word of God is like seed sown on various kinds of soil. The soil is the ground of individual hearts. Hearing and allowing the seed to grow and produce fruit comes only with the ‘good’ soil of faith. Satan, the world and our sinful nature oppose the Word. Those set apart to God hear and do the Word.
Leviticus 20:26 “You shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.”
Prayer: Lord, thank You for separating me to Yourself by Your holy Word, Jesus Christ. I offer the ground of my heart as a garden of fruitfulness and good soil. Amen.
