Revelation through sharing!
Scripture reading for October 11th: Isaiah 43-45, Philemon
Key Scriptures: Philemon 4-7 “I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers, because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints, and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ. For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints are refreshed through you.”
Paul wrote to Philemon concerning his run-away slave, Onesimus. As he opened his short letter, he encouraged him with the report he had heard concerning Philemon’s testimony and the fruit of sharing faith. Paul had received joy and comfort from his love. The sharing of our faith brings revelation to us and others of all the good things we have in Christ!
Isaiah 45:8 “Shower, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain down righteousness; let the earth open, that salvation and righteousness may bear fruit; let the earth cause them both to sprout; I the Lord have created it.”
Prayer: Lord, thank You for revealing your great love and salvation to me. Direct me today in sharing my faith that increased glory may come to Your Name! Amen.
