Thankful that God sets boundaries!

Scripture reading for July 21st:  Proverbs 30-31, Ecclesiastes 1-3

Key Scriptures:  Ecclesiastes 3:1-4  “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:  A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,  . . . “

The writer of Ecclesiastes had lived a while and observed God’s boundaries in the various times and seasons of life.  As the seasons rolled around in the calendar year, so God ordained the times set for the various activities of man.  God uses these seasons to draw men and women to seek Him and to find Him.  This wisdom came from observation and revelation and was confirm other times in the New Testament.

Thankful God sets boundaries:  “From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set of them and the exact places where they should live.  God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.  ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ “  (Acts 17:26-28)
