God sees the heart!
Scripture reading for April 9th: 1st Samuel 13-16, John 3
Key Scriptures: John 3:16-18 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”
Jesus shared the good news of His Father’s love for the whole world. Simply believing in the Son of God would bring grace for eternal life to all who would do so. Failure to place faith in the Son, Jesus Christ, would result in condemnation. God wanted all to be saved, not condemned. God sees the heart and knows those who believe!
1st Samuel 16:6-7 “When they came, he looked on Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before him.” But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
Prayer: Lord, thank You for loving the whole world and making salvation as simple as believing on Your Son, Jesus Christ! Examine my heart today that I may fully believe. Amen.
