One King, all Knowing!
Scripture reading for April 6th: 1st Samuel 10-12, John 2
Key Scriptures: John 2:23-25 “Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in His Name when they saw the signs that He was doing. But Jesus on His part did not entrust Himself to them, because He knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for He Himself knew what was in man.”
Jesus was with crowds of people and many came to Him because of the miraculous signs He was doing. But Jesus was cautious about revealing Himself to men. He knew what was in the heart of each person and the plans God had laid out. Jesus had no fear of man!
1st Samuel 12:17-18 “Is it not wheat harvest today? I will call upon the Lord, that He may send thunder and rain. And you shall know and see that your wickedness is great, which you have done in the sight of the Lord, in asking for yourselves a king.” So Samuel called upon the Lord, and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day, and all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel.”
Prayer: Lord, may I fear and reverence only You and Your Word! Amen.
The King Reigns Eternally!
Scripture reading for December 14th: Revelation 11
Key Scriptures for over-comers: Revelation 11:15-17 “The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign for ever and ever.” And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: “We give thanks to You, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken Your great power and begun to reign. . .”
The earth longs for her true Ruler, the Creator and Life-Giver! At a point in time future, this heavenly reality will become visible here on earth! John sees this seventh angel sounding his trumpet and hears voices from heaven announcing the enthroning of our Lord and His Christ! Upon this announcement, the heavenly temple was opened and the Ark of the Covenant was seen by John, accompanied by lightning and thunder and a great earthquake and hailstorm!
Observations for over-comers: The kingdom of this world is destined to belong to Christ and His Bride–forever! Let’s live like this is a reality–it is! “On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the eastern sea and half to the western sea, in summer and in winter. The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and His Name the only name!” (Zechariah 14:8-9)
