Scripture reading for December 3rd: Daniel 4-6, Revelation 3
Key Scriptures: Revelation 3:10-12 “Because you have kept My word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, . . .”
Jesus Christ spoke to the church at Philadelphia concerning their faithful witness. This church had little power, but had stayed true to the Lord and lived by His Word. Christ promised to keep them from the hour of trial coming on the whole earth. Those who stood true, would be crowned and become pillars in the temple of heaven!
Daniel 6:23 “Then the king was exceedingly glad, and commanded that Daniel be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.”
Prayer: Lord, Thank You for promising to keep Your people from the hour of trial coming on the earth. Help me to stand true to You, no matter what the trial. I trust in Your Name. Amen.
