Scripture reading for June 17th: Romans 3, Psalm 120, Proverbs 27
Key Scriptures: Romans 3:21-25 “But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it–the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by His blood to be received by faith.”
The Law and the Prophets bore witness to the righteousness of God through faith in Messiah Jesus, stating that the just shall live by their faith. But now Jesus Christ has purchased our salvation by offering His own blood to cover or pay for our sins. Those who trust in Jesus and His blood by faith receive justification as a gift. They are made ‘just as if’ they had never sinned and declared ‘righteous’ before God, even though all have sinned. What amazing grace!
Faith confession: I am righteous before God through Jesus’ blood. I am justified by faith as a gift from God and I live by faith in Christ Jesus the Lord! Thank You Jesus for Your precious gift!
Psalm 120:1 “In my distress, I called to the Lord, and He answered me.”
