Tag: Psalm 80:17-18
Scripture reading for April 22nd: John 12, Psalm 80, Proverbs 18
Key Scriptures: John 12:44-48 “And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him Who sent Me. And whoever sees Me sees Him Who sent Me. I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in Me may not remain in darkness. If anyone hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save world. The one who rejects Me and does not receive My words has a judge; the word that I have spoke will judge him on the last day.””
Jesus explained that believing in Him and His words was the same as believing in the Father, who sent Him. He was the light that revealed the Father who was the unseen Spirit. Hearing Jesus’ words brings responsibility and ultimate judgment. Hearing and disobeying or rejecting Jesus’ words will bring judgment and those words will judge the person at the final judgment.
Faith Confession: Jesus, I receive You and Your words and know that they are words from the Father. Help me to share Your words with others so they may hear and obey.
Psalm 80:17-18 “But let Your hand be on the Man of Your right hand, the Son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself. Then we shall not turn back from You; give us life, and we will call upon Your Name.”
