No more delay!

Scripture reading for December 13th: Revelation 10, Psalm 98, Proverbs 31

Revelation 10:4-7 “And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.” And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore by Him Who lives forever and ever, Who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as He announced to His servants the prophets.”

John reveals to us that there are mysteries that remain about the final events of the last days before Jesus returns. He heard thunders speak, but was told to seal up their message. But John was also told that the sounding of the seventh and last trumpet would usher in a fulfilment of the mystery of God. This mystery is that God will send Jesus back as King of Kings to avenge all evil and set up His kingdom of peace on the earth. This is the call of all the prophets and priests. Each person should repent and get right with God, Who judges justly! It is the call of the Gospel, repent and believe on Jesus Christ, that your sins may be forgiven and that you may have a place in God’s eternal kingdom! The Church is called to announce this Good News! No more idleness and no more delay, the fulfilment is near!

Psalm 98:8-9 “Let the rivers clap their hands, let the hills sing for joy together before the Lord, for He comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.”

Prayer: Father God, thank You for the prophets and apostles who have gone before us and shared Your Word. Thank You for this revelation of Jesus Christ and the fulfilment of Your eternal plans to install Your Son, Jesus, as King of Kings and bring the kingdom of peace to earth. Use me today, and those who believe, to share the Good News of Your grace through Jesus and eternal life in the coming kingdom.

Proverbs 31: 27 “She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”

No more delay!

Scripture reading for December 14th: Job 1-3, Psalm 29, Revelation 10

Revelation 10: 4-7 “And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.” And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore by Him Who lives forever and ever, Who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as He announced to His servants the prophets.”

John is shown a vision in heaven of a ‘mighty angel’ shining with glory and big enough to plant his feet on the land and the sea. This angel cried out with a loud voice like a roaring lion. In answer to his cry, seven thunders sounded. John was about to write down what they said, when he was told to seal up this revelation and not write it down. This likely indicates that there are some events of the great tribulation that are still to be revealed. The angel announced with an oath taken in the Name of the One seated on the throne, that there would be no more delay. All the mysteries of God written down by His prophets would be fulfilled when this seventh and last trumpet sounded. God does nothing by way of judgment unless He warns His people by His prophets. (Amos 3:7) Soon, no more delay.

Psalm 29:7-9 “The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth and strips the forests bare, and in His temple all cry, “Glory!”

Prayer: Glory to our Father! Now and forever and ever! Thank You Lord for Your voice that brings Truth and Life. Thank You for creating the heavens and the earth and all life by Your Word. Thank You for sending Your Son, the Word made flesh, to bring salvation. Thank You for sending out Your Word by the prophets and Your Son and those who are His disciples. I look forward to the fulfilment of Your Word!

Job 1:20-22 “Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the Name of the Lord.” In all this Job did not charge God with wrong.”

No more delay!

Scripture reading for December 12th:  Revelation 10, Psalm 123-24, Proverbs 1

Key Scriptures:  Revelation 10:4-7 “And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.”  And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore by Him Who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, but in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as He announced to His servants the prophets.”

After the sixth angel blew his trumpet, John saw another angel with a small scroll come down from heaven and call out with a loud voice.  This angel’s voice was answered by seven thunders.  John was about to write down their message, when a voice from heaven told him not to write.  Some surprises will remain for those on earth during the judgments.  There would be no more delay and every prophetic Word of God would be fulfilled during the seventh trumpet call.  What God has said He will do!

Faith Confession:  I am thankful for God’s Truth and the revelation of prophesy.  I believe that every Word of God will be quickly fulfilled in its appointed time and my God will keep me safe.

Proverbs 1:32-3 “For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacency of fools destroys them; but whoever listens to Me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.”

Let the prophets sound forth!

Scripture reading for December 12th: Joel 3, Amos 1-3, Revelation 10

Key Scriptures:  Revelation 10:4-7  “And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.”  And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as he announced to His servants the prophets.”

God does nothing in judgment without revealing His plans to mankind through His servants.  Prophetic vision was given to John as encouragement to God’s people and warning to all mankind.  But God told John not to write down what the seven thunders said or revealed of the end-time plan.  This will unfold in its time, when the seventh trumpet would sound during the great tribulation.

Amos 3:6-7 “Is a trumpet blown in a city, and the people are not afraid?  Does disaster come to a city, unless the Lord has done it?  “For the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.”

Prayer:  Lord, thank You for revealing Your plans and the coming judgment of all mankind.  Let me speak prophetically to my generation!  Amen.
