Rejoicing in Holy! Holy! Holy!
Scripture reading for December 26th: Revelation 3-7
Key Scriptures: Revelation 4:2-3, 8 “At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. And the One who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian. A rainbow, resembling an emerald, encircled the throne. . .Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stopped saying: “Holy, holy holy is the Lord God Almighty who was, and is, and is to come.””
John was worshiping the Lord and saw a door open in heaven and the voice of the Lord inviting him to come up! Immediately he was transported through the door and beheld the throne of heaven and the Majesty seated there. He also saw the creatures around the throne and listened to their worship! They were saying the same thing that Isaiah beheld over 700 years earlier! HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!
Isaiah’s vision: “In the year King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on the throne, high and exalted, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above Him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory.” (Isaiah 6:1-3)
