Rejoicing in our Reconciliation!

Scripture reading for November 20th:  Romans 5-9

Key Scriptures:  Romans 5:9-11  “Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him!  For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!  Not only is this so, but we rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”

Paul clearly taught justification by faith in the death of Jesus Christ, God’s only Son.  It was through the shed blood that our sins were atoned for, saving all believing sinners from God’s wrath.  It not only saved us by His death and blood, but we were reconciled to God and restored through Jesus’ resurrection to eternal life!  God’s mighty deeds and acts of love on behalf of His people bring songs of praise that will echo throughout eternity!

The rejoicing of the Redeemed:  “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.  Let the redeemed of the Lord say this–those He redeemed from the hand of the foe,. . . He sent forth His Word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave.  Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men.”  (Psalm 107:1-2, 20-21)
