Scripture reading for June 24th: Romans 8, Psalm 125, Proverbs 1
Key Scriptures: Romans 8:31-34 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charges against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the One who died–more than that, who was raised–who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.”
Paul writes the letter to the Romans to clarify salvation by faith through grace and the security we have in the Holy Trinity. He told the Roman believers that the Holy Spirit helped them to pray. God was for us, demonstrating that by giving His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on our behalf. And Jesus was for us now, resurrected and alive and seated at God’s right hand interceding for us. Nothing will separate us from God’s love!
Faith confession: I am convinced, fully persuaded, that God is for me, Jesus is praying for me, and the Holy Spirit is with me to help me to pray and walk with God through this life. Nothing will separate me from God’s love!
Proverbs 1:33 “. . but whoever listens to Me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.”
