Scripture reading for December 25th: Haggai 2, Zechariah 1-2, Revelation 19
Key Scriptures: Revelation 19:6-9 “Then I hear what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give Him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”–for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.””
John hears the announcement from heaven of the arrival of the King of kings, accentuated by roaring of heavenly voices and thunder claps. The multitude was worshiping the Lord and rejoicing that the wedding supper of the Lamb had finally come. The Bride was made ready, dressed in pure white linen! John was told to write of the promised blessedness of all those invited to take part!
Zechariah 2:10-11 “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord. And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be My people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.”
Prayer: Lord, what a day that will be when we Your Bride see You coming! May our clothing be bright white and we dwell with You forever! Amen.
