Walking in the Light!
Scripture reading for November 19th: Ezekiel 17-19, 1st John 1
Key Scriptures: 1st John 1:5-7 “This is the message we have heard from Him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
Our God is light! In that Light of His awesome holiness, we see no darkness or shadow. So if we claim to have fellowship with Him and continue to walk in darkness, we are a liar about knowing Christ. If we walk in His light, we will have peace with God and this promotes fellowship with other believers. Our walk will show that the blood of Jesus is having its cleansing power in our life.
Ezekiel 18: 21-22 “But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all My statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live/ he shall not die. None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live.”
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for Your cleansing blood that empowers me to live a life of fellowship with You and others in Your body. Keep me from the deception of sin and unbelief. Amen.
