The Radiance of God’s Glory!

Scripture reading for February 17th:  Exodus 38-40, Hebrews 1

Key Scriptures:  Exodus 40:33-35 “. . so Moses finished the work.  Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.  And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.”

The Israelites had willingly brought offerings of gold and other prescribed materials and willing and skilled workers had completed the task set out for them by the Lord through Moses.  The tabernacle and all its furnishing was completed and set up exactly according to the pattern.  Then, miraculously, the cloud of God’s glory covered and filled the tent of meeting.  Moses was not able to enter this awesome display of God’s presence in their midst!

Faith Confession and prayer:  Lord Jesus, thank You for this description of Your presence with the Israelites.  I am humbled that in the New Testament, Your glory fills a new “tent of meeting”–the bodies of believers in Jesus.   Please allow the glory of Your Son to be seen through my life!

Hebrews 1:1-3 “Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also He created the world.  He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the Word of His power.  After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, . . .”
