Shouts of Joy!
Scripture reading for June 28th: Psalm 102-106
Key Scriptures: Psalm 105:43-45 “He brought out His people with rejoicing, His chosen ones with shouts of joy; He gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for–that they might keep His precepts and observe His laws. Praise the Lord.”
The psalmist has remembered the greet deeds of the Lord for His people when He delivered them from slavery and bondage in Egypt. This evokes praise and worship and causes him to seek the Lord and glory in every aspect of His provision for His people. Rejoicing and shouts of joy filled the people of God as they were blessed with God’s grace of deliverance and given the land of Israel as their inheritance! Even the memory caused shouts of joy!
Shouts of joy among God’s people: “Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory!” (Revelation 19:6-7)
