Scripture reading for December 2nd: Philippians 1-4
Another week has rolled around and God’s people gather to worship and refocus our lives on the source of life, Jesus Christ! We must let go of the events of the past week and refocus on Christ and His eternal program. We live best when our attitude is in line with the Word of God! God is preparing a company of people who will live eternally with Him and enjoy His presence forever! What a privilege to be called into His presence!
The book of Philippians is our reading for today in order to complete the Bible this year. We must read on the seventh day for the rest of the year in order to stay on track. May the Lord open your heart to His truths in this special letter to the church from the Apostle Paul from prison in Rome.
“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ.” (Philippians 1:3-6)
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)
“Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed–not only in my presence but now much more in my absence–continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.” (Philippians 2:12-13)
