Sunday Rest and Reflection!
Sunday June 8th, 2014
Dear Friends,
Praise the Lord for the Holy Spirit! This is Pentecost Sunday, and another day to celebrate God’s gift of salvation and His gift of empowerment to live a holy life! On Pentecost Sunday, Acts 2 records that the Holy Spirit came upon the 120 disciples of Jesus while they were waiting and praying. A sound like a mighty rushing wind filled the house where they were and tongues of fire descended on each one. The new “Temple” was filled with God’s glory and they all began to speak with new tongues and glorify God! The presence of God could now be taken by each believer into the world to share the Gospel message!
Gather with us Sunday morning for a message of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and then come back tonight for a city-wide worship event with Rev. Ryan and Sara Delling of Eagles Wings. “Keepers of the Flame” city-wide prayer events are open to all! May the Holy Spirit fill you with joy and power to live a fruitful life for Jesus!

Dear Friends,
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ! This Sunday is another day of celebration of the resurrection of Christ! It is also the celebration of the Father’s gift of the Holy Spirit being poured out on His people! Special guest, Damian Schoonmaker, will share a message in our summer series “For the Journey” entitled “Wet Wood”! Come to celebrate and worship and be prepared to receive an infilling or refilling of the Holy Spirit! God still empowers His people, heals and delivers!
This is also Memorial Weekend where we remember those who gave their lives for our country. God has blessed our land with many who sacrificed for our freedom. We honor them and their memory! God bless America!
