Love fulfills the Law!
Scripture reading for June 29th: Job 23-26, Romans 13
Key Scriptures: Romans 13:8-10 “Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,: and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor, therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”
Love is the fulfillment of every commandment of God’s Law. All breaking of God’s Law is a violation of love for our neighbor and for God who gave the commandment. Disciples are to live a life of love.
Job 23:12 “I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my portion of food.”
Prayer: Lord, teach me to so love You and my neighbor that I totally fulfill Your awesome commandments. Amen.
