Scripture reading for December 18th: Jonah 4, Micah 1-3, Revelation 14
Key Scriptures: Revelation 14:6-7 “Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come, and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.””
God would rather forgive than judge mankind for their sins. During the final great tribulation, God sends an angel to proclaim the eternal Gospel to all who still dwell on the earth. This Gospel commands all men from every tribe and nation and language group to fear God and worship Him as creator. This angel also announced that the hour of judgment had arrived. All would stand before the Creator and answer for their deeds and failure to heed the Gospel.
Jonah 4:11 “And should not I pity Nineveh, that great city, in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know their right hand from their left, and also much cattle?”
Micah 1:2-3 “”Hear, you peoples, all of you; pay attention, O earth, and all that is in it, and let the Lord God be a witness against you, the Lord from His holy temple. For behold, the Lord is coming out of His place, and will come down and tread on the high places of earth.””
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your great care for those on earth and Your warnings to all the earth of the coming judgment. Thank You for even caring for the cattle! Amen!
