Scripture reading for February 28th: Leviticus 26-27, Psalm 112, Hebrews 10
Key Scriptures: Hebrews 10:21-25 “. . and since we have a great Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He Who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Believers in Jesus have great encouragement to gather together. We have a great High Priest who has provided washing for our hearts and consciences through His shed blood and constant intercession. He has truly broken the bars of the yoke of our slavery to sin. We can boldly confess our hope of eternal life because Christ is faithful to His eternal Word. We must not neglect gathering together to encourage one another to faithfulness, love and good works. Jesus is coming soon!
Faith Confession and Prayer: I walk erect and free today because of Jesus Christ! Help me to faithfully meet with others and encourage others to love and good works, being ready for Christ’s soon return!
Leviticus 26:13 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves. And I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.”
Psalm 112:4 “Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous.”
